Recognizing the advanced individuals boosts morale and unites efforts to embark on new endeavors. In order to encourage students to follow the role models, study diligently and make progress, with an energetic attitude to forge ahead, on the afternoon of May 22nd, the Senior High School Department of our school held a grand fourth-time awarding ceremony of this semester in the school auditorium. In attendance were Principal Assistant Xu Zuitai, International Department Head Wang Yinzhai and Deputy Director Xu Haohong, who presented awards to the winning students. This ceremony was chaired by Deputy Director Jiang Shengyou of the Senior High School Department.
First and foremost, at the beginning of the event, students recognized as 'Learning Stars' and 'Progress Stars' in the interim assessment were honored. Time rewards diligence, and every effort finds its echo. During this phase of study, our students have diligently studied, thought critically, and strived forward, producing numerous role models who excelled both academically and morally, as well as examples of those who made remarkable breakthroughs. Meanwhile, the Senior High School Department used recognition to set benchmarks and honors to inspire determination, motivating students to strive for excellence and grow with perseverance.
In the second place, the second item on the agenda was the announcement of the winners of the 'Mathematics Hero Challenge' by teacher Wang Peng, Head of the Mathematics Teaching and Research Group. Mathematics is a crucial subject for developing logical thinking. Thus, in order to inspire students' interest and courage in tackling challenging math problems, the mathematics department launched a series of 'Hero Challenge' activities, during which students actively took on difficult mathematical problems, solving them with sharp minds and persistent determination, demonstrating solid mathematical foundations and a spirit of exploration.
In the third place, the third item on the agenda was teacher Zhang Cheng's recognition of outstanding students in the art mid-term assessment. Our Senior High School Department has consistently promoted holistic education, advancing academic instruction while vigorously developing specialized arts programs. More remarkably, art students have balanced their academic and professional studies with diligence and perseverance, achieving remarkable results. Evidently, not only does this recognition serve as an affirmation but also as an encouragement. May all art students pursue their dreams through art and move forward toward a brighter future.
In the fourth place, the fourth item of the conference: teacher Hu Yafan teacher gave commendations to the music students who performed exceptionally well in the process-based assessment of music courses. Specifically, our school has always emphasized the all-round development of students and has prioritized both cultural learning and the cultivation of artistic qualities. Therefore, our students could balance their studies of both the humanities and the major, persistently improving their skills, and demonstrating solid professional skills and outstanding abilities in this assessment. Moreover, the four students who received the commendation are: Cheng Xinrui, Zhang Yiyang, Jiang Mingqi, and Huang Xinyao. May all the students always maintain their love for music, cherish their youth, and strive to compose their own youthful symphonies.
In a nutshell, the original aspiration remains steadfast, and steadfast efforts lead to far-reaching achievements; role models set the direction, and concerted efforts drive forward. Thus, it's hoped that all students of the Senior High School Department will take this recognition as a new starting point, use the outstanding role models as benchmarks for their journey, cherish the brilliance of their youth, delve deeply into their endeavors, and strive forward with dreams. On the path of education, they should not let time or expectations pass them by. Instead, they should write their own splendid chapters.
